Hello Friends, in this article we bring you the best of Batu Ferringhi, which lies on the Northern coast of Penang. Penang is the place where the many foodies love due to its wide variety of the food choices, but the many of us have overlooked Penang’s natural wonders. The Georgetown is a highly popular area for the tourist, but in recent years, Batu Ferringhi is catching up and has now become the second most visited destination in the Penang. It does not matter whether you are the adventurous traveler or the relaxed traveler, Batu Ferringhi has the many activities to offer, so I have shortlisted the top 5 activities that are both enjoyable and entertaining.

  1. Penang National Park (Taman Negara Pulau Pinang)


The Penang National Park spans into 1,181 hectares of forest and 1,381 hectares of wetlands. It is one of the few natural forested areas left on the island. It is currently world’s smallest national park. The ecosystem boasts a diversity of the habitats with the hills, sandy and rocky, streams and lush greenery. It is an ideal place for the fishing, trekking, basking in the sun on one of its gorgeous beaches, taking the dip in cooling water, discovering birds or animals and camping.

  1. Tropical Spice Garden

More than the 500 kinds of exotic fauna and flora from all over the world with the emphasis on spices at the Tropical Spice Garden. It is amazing how the founders, Rebecca and David Wilkinson, turn the abandoned rubber plantation to the current estate, the fragrant garden which will tickle all of your senses alive. Since the opening of its door to the public in 2003, the Tropical Spice Garden has attracted the many visitors, whether it is young or old. There are the total exhibits in this garden.

  1. Penang Botanical Gardens

It is made for the nature lovers who will take the morning or afternoon stroll at the Penang Botanical Gardens, which will also known as the Waterfalls Gardens. The Botanical Gardens contain the plethora of indigenous and some exotic plant species. It used to be an old quarry site, but it is now divided into 12 different sections – Lily Pond, Tropical Rainforest Jungle Track, The Formal Garden, Perdana Plant House, Fern Rockery, Cactus House, Fern House, Aroid Walkway, Horticulture Centre, Quarry Recreational Park, Horticulture, and Nursery.

  1. Batu Ferringhi Beach

The Batu Ferringhi Beach boasts soft, white sandy beach was spilling out into the turquoise blue ocean and the stretches all the way up into Northern Peninsula. The Thrill-Seekers would go ecstatic at the idea of renting a kayak, jet-ski or the banana boating to have the splashing good fun. The most trip of Batu Ferringhi Beach have been taken up by the luxury hotels, but there are some public Beaches are available.

The Batu Ferringhi Night Market in this area every night the vendors set up the stalls for selling everything from the fake designer bags to the cheap pirated DVDs to the locally handcrafted souvenirs, just for the name a few.
